MARQUETTE - Police have arrested one suspect in connection with the armed robbery of a gas station in Marquette County last month. A second suspect remains at large.

After receiving an anonymous tip, Marquette County Sheriff Department arrested Dakota J. Fuller, 20, of Gwinn, in connection with the robbery at Fran's Service Station in Palmer. The arrest occurred at a Sawyer residence on Thursday.

Police have identified a second subject in connection with the armed robbery as Matthew Fuller, 20, of Marinette County in Wisconsin. Police suspect he is in Wisconsin. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 or the Marquette County Sheriff Department at (906) 225-8435.

Arrest warrants for stolen vehicle charges have also been issued against each man out of Dickinson and Marinette counties in connection with the robbery, added officials.

On Sunday, Nov. 18, the store owner was returning home when he came upon two males exiting a rear basement window of the business at around 10:40 p.m.

The suspects allegedly briefly subdued the owner at gunpoint then fled on foot into a wooded area behind the store. The victim was not injured in the incident, said police.
