Four cadets advance in Civil Air Patrol

ESCANABA - Four cadet members of the Bay de Noc Senior Flight Squadron, and Dickinson County Flight, Michigan Wing Civil Air Patrol, United States Air Force Auxiliary, recently received promotions.

A ceremony was held in Escanaba on Oct. 20 with Cadet Lt. David Jones, along with Lt. John Izzi, Deputy Commander conducting the pinning ceremony.

Advancing to the rank of Cadet Airman, was Joshua Harris of Escanaba and Cheyanne Stout of Kingsford. Cadet Airman Harris also received the Gen. John Curry award during the ceremony.

Cadet Airman Dallas Rochon of Gladstone received a promotion to the rank of Cadet Airman First Class, in addition to receiving the Gen. Hap Arnold Award.

Promoted to the rank of Cadet Senior Airman, was Cadet Airman First Class Nick Currie of Kingsford.

Each cadet was tested on qualities of leadership, character, active participation with their Civil Air Patrol Unit and fitness.
