Former resident earns Silver Honor for album

MARQUETTE - Former Escanaba resident, Marquette singer/songwriter Jeff Krebs was awarded a prestigious Silver Honor by the Parents' Choice Foundation for his Papa Crow album "Things That Roar." Since its release late last year, this original collection of kids and family songs that has been very well received in the kids music industry, making many "Best of 2011" kids music lists.

Parents' Choice Foundation is a nonprofit guide to the best in children's media and toys, best known for the Parents' Choice Awards program, the Parents' Choice Award Seals are the Foundation's internationally recognized and respected icons of quality.

Jeff Krebs has been writing, recording and performing kids and family music as Papa Crow for four years and is currently working on two new albums. "Things That Roar" is available locally at Jim's Music and can be found online at itunes and amazon.com.
