65th anniversary for St. Martins

GLADSTONE - Laurence "Larry" and Irene St. Martin celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Aug. 23.

Laurence and the former Irene LeGault were married on Aug. 23, 1947, at Immaculate Conception Church in Milwaukee, Wis. Standing as best men was the bride's brother, Art LeGault. A friend of the bride, Elaine Sequin, served as matron of honor. Attendants in the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Owsiany, sister and brother-in-law of the groom.

Larry is retired from the Soo Line Railroad where he was an engineer. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Marine Corps League and American Legion. Irene is a homemaker. As a couple, Irene and Larry volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul in Gladstone.

The couple are the parents of three children, James (Pat) of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Bob (Patti) of Escanaba, and Gale of Gladstone. They also have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
