Many hands made Kiwanis event a success

This week’s bouquets go to:

From Estelle Smyth and Pat Rudden:

The Escanaba Kiwanis Club would like to thank everyone involved in making the 2019 Home and Garden Show and Pancake Days an excellent success, especially our show sponsor, American Metal Roofs of Northern Wisconsin. Thanks also to Rod Stende of Elmer’s County Market for his wonderful grilling demonstrations.

We also have a huge thank you for all of our fantastic vendors who highlight their products for our community. And, the weekend event would not be possible without many hours of service from our Kiwanians, their families, members of our Key and Action clubs, and many other friends of Kiwanis.

Thanks to Rebecca Krans of the MSU Extension and the Master Gardeners for setting up the excellent Smart Gardening presentations; Mark Jasper of Jasper’s Sugar Bush for his donation of incredibly delicious maple syrup; and the donation of water and coolers by Norway Springs.

We also appreciate the fine event coverage provided by the Daily Press and other local media.

We also appreciate the community members who have supported us so well for the past 62 years.

We’ll see you all at next year’s show on April 4-6, 2020.

Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.

We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.

Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they’ve done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.

They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on “Bouquets” and follow the simple instructions.
