Donald J. Plourde Jr.

Don was born August 27, 1958, in Escanaba, the son of Donald and Kathleen (Boyer) Plourde Sr. He was raised in Cornell and was a 1976 graduate of Escanaba High School. Following high school, Don went to work for the Local Operating Engineers Union. He worked for various employers throughout his career and lived and traveled extensively throughout the United States while operating heavy equipment. Don was a fun loving, fast paced kind of guy. He loved to ride motorcycles, four-wheelers and watch NASCAR. In later years, as he slowed down, Don enjoyed feeding the deer, hunting and spending time with his dog Jocko. He will be deeply missed.

Don is survived by: daughter: Jennifer (Jason) Brooks, sisters: Cindy LaBombarb, Lynn (Dave) Carignan, Laurie (Phil) Reynolds, brother: Bruce (Lynn) Plourde, faithful sidekick: Jocko.

Don is additionally survived by his 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and numerous cousins and friends.

Don’s parents Donald and Kathleen and his brother in law, Roger LaBombarb preceded him in death.

A celebration of life to honor the life of Donald J. Plourde Jr. will take place on Sunday November 30, 2025, from 1:00PM to 4:00PM, at the Rusty Rail Bar and Restaurant in Cornell.
