Gloria A. Koelbl
PERRONVILLE — Gloria A. Koelbl, 75, of Perronville, passed into eternal life on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Christian Park Village in Escanaba following a brief illness. Gloria was born on May 18, 1947 to Donald and Ethel (Anderson) Dixon of Felch, Mich.
She graduated from Felch High School in 1965. After high school she briefly lived and worked in Lisle, Ill. and Escanaba, Mich. She married James F. Koelbl on November 14, 1968 and became a full-time homemaker.
Gloria enjoyed flower gardening, knitting, reading mystery novels, doing crossword and word puzzles. In her younger years she enjoyed attending Christian Women events, church retreats and Bible studies.
She is survived by two sons, Patrick of Ford River; Clinton of Perronville, a sister, Valerie Lucas of Breitung Township, Mich.; a brother-in-law, William Koelbl of Aurora, Wis.; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Koelbl of Norway and Becky (Kirk) Luke of Randville, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; a son, Derek; her father-in-law, William Koelbl; a sister-in-law, Diane Koelbl; and two brothers-in-law, Pete Koelbl and James Lucas, and a nephew, Andrew Lucas.
A family graveside service will be held at the Quinnesec Cemetery in the spring.
