Gary E. Stone

A lifelong resident of Escanaba, he was born on June 13, 1939, the son of Elmer and Eleanor (Boyle) Stone.

Gary spent the majority of his years working construction and in the mines. He was a simple but witty man who liked taking joy rides and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Kathleen (Martin) Karl of West Bend, Wis., Clinton (Dianne) Stone of Skandia, Mich., Dawn (Tony Banick) Stone of Kaukauna, Wis., Deanna (Charles) Kang of Escanaba, and Debbie Stone of Kimberly, Wis.; grandchildren, Chad, Carly, Jesse, Trenton, Shauna, Tyler, Zach, Logan, Keagan, and Stone; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Giorgia, and Elliana; and special family friend and “other daughter”, Beth (Eden) Neumann.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Stone; brother, Tom Stone; sisters, Pat Trudeau and Carol Brebner; and grandson, Clint Michael Stone.

A Celebration of Gary’s life will be held on Saturday, September 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Ludington Grille, 1110 Ludington Street, Escanaba. He will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in Escanaba. Until we meet again, “Over and out!”
