Mary Lou Derusha

She was born in Escanaba on January 23, 1936, the daughter of Thomas and Bernadette (Chervette) Beauchamp. Mary Lou graduated from Escanaba High School.

On, June 29, 1957, Mary Lou married Francis “Swede” Derusha in Escanaba. Together they raised their family and shared 63 years of marriage. Mary Lou worked at Bishop Noa Home for many years as a Dietary Supervisor until her retirement.

Mary Lou enjoyed going to camp and playing bingo.

She is survived by her children, Debbie (Paul) Saari of Escanaba and Tom Derusha of Gladstone; grandchildren, Paul Jeffrey (Alicia) Saari, Jamie (Joshua) Grimes, Derek (Whitney) Saari, Tom (Deanna) Derusha, and Joannie (Kevin) Derusha; great-grandchildren, Madison Grimes, Trenton Grimes, Vaughn Saari, Aleah Derusha, and Kylie Derusha; and several nieces and nephews. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Francis on March 2, 2021.
