Terry ‘Jolly’ VanEffen

Terry was born June 2, 1957 in Escanaba, where he was also raised. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working on home improvements with his wife and in his garage, where he could fix just about anything.

Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene.

He is survived by his father, Larry (Sheila); wife, Julie; children, Matt, Melissa (Kevin), Meryl Kohlman, Ben Kohlman (Auburn); grandchildren, Alannah, Landon, Brooklyn, Michaela, Lydia, Elspeth; sister, Wanda (Keith); and brothers, Mike (Dana) and Tony (Brenda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the Knights of Columbus on Nov. 7 from 1 to 5 p.m.
