Steve A. Tolman

ESCANABA — Steve A. Tolman, 61, of Escanaba, passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020 at U.P. Health System – Marquette. He was born on Oct. 2, 1958 in Escanaba, the son of Warren and Janet (Cole) Tolman. Steve was raised and attended school in Escanaba where he also graduated from high school. Steve married the former Barbara Luenenburg on Oct. 24, 1981 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Escanaba. Together, the couple shared nearly 39 years of marriage. Steve was employed for over 33 years at Mead Paper Company (later Verso Corporation) as a guillotine operator. He loved riding his motorcycle, watching outlaw racing with his brother and nephews, and enjoyed reading.

Steve A. Tolman is survived by his wife, Barbara Tolman of Escanaba; his father, Warren Tolman of Escanaba; brother, Tim (Kris) Tolman of Sheboygan, Wis.; sisters, Debbie (Randy) Hamilton of Gladstone, and Patricia LaCrosse of Hartland, Wis.; sister-in-law, Betty Cook of Escanaba; brothers-in-law, James (Cindi) Luenenburg of Escanaba, and Ken (Cherie) Luenenburg of Escanaba; many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; his dog, Molly; and his cat, Mindy.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Tolman, on March 30, 2019; mother and father-in-law, Milton and Lorraine Luenenburg; and his nephew, Brian Posenke.
