John E. Dupont

He was born on April 8, 1948 in Escanaba, son of John J. and Linna S. (Krause) Dupont. John resided in the Escanaba area most of his life and was currently at Townhouse, Adult Learning Systems in Gladstone.

John had been employed at Lake State Industries where he painted stakes and removed bottle caps for the recycling center.

He enjoyed doing puzzles, going out to eat and playing with his baseball cards and beads.  

Survivors include his mother, Linna Dupont of Escanaba; and siblings, Patricia Couillard, Christine Therrien and Michael (Judy) Dupont, all of Escanaba.

He was preceded in death by his father, John.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 23 from noon until 2 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Fran DeGroot officiating.

Burial will immediately follow in Gardens of Rest Cemetery. The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Dupont family.
