Jeffrey Leonard Dombrowski, 29, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colo. Jeff never married and leaves to survive his parents Karen (Dupey) and Jim Dombrowski of Escanaba; two brothers, Eric J. (Amanda) Dombrowski of DePere, Wis. and Mike F. (Brianna) Dombrowski of Escanaba; nephews, Gibson, Corbin and Griffin.; nieces, Brynley, Stella, Paisley and Oaklyn; uncles, Dale Dupey of McFarland, Alan (Linda) Dupey of Oshkosh, Brian (Diane) Dupey of Escanaba, Dennis (Deborah) of Yellville, Ark., Aunts Carol (Martin) Payne of Spring Lake, Dianna (Charles) Lawson of Escanaba, Dorinda Dombrowski of Escanaba; grandmother, Elmie Dombrowski of Escanaba and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Aunt Arlene (Don) Behlendorf of Naples, Fla.; grandfather Leonard (Elmie) Dombrowski; and grandparents Fern and Beverly Dupey.

Born and raised in Escanaba, Jeff graduated from Escanaba High School in 2009 and attended Bay de Noc Community College where he pursued a degree in business and graduated from Northern Michigan University Lineman Program in 2015. Jeff spent much of his younger years helping at the family music store in Escanaba with his brothers. Eventually he managed Iron Mountain and most recently Marquette locations. Jeff loved life and new experiences. He enjoyed reading, working on cars, attending music festivals, hiking, and walking his dog, Apollo. He enjoyed trying new foods and was especially fond of dill pickles. Jeff lit up a room with his smile and sense of humor. He had a generous heart, listened with love and spoke with sincerity. He was always willing to lend a hand to those in need and he donated his life saving organs as his final gift.

Please pray for the healing of addiction for all struggling with the disease.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Escanaba on Saturday, June 27 at noon. (Masks and social distancing required). A Celebration of Life will follow at Farmers Market Pavilion, 1501 Ludington Street in Escanaba. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to local drug treatment centers. The family will set up a memorial fund to help others struggling with addiction.
