William ‘Bill’ Roland Writt

ORLANDO, Fla. — William “Bill” Roland Writt passed away at Advent Hospital South, Orlando, Fla., at 6:11 a.m. on March 9, 2020, at the age of 78 years old surrounded by family, holding his hand and comforting him until he was called to home.

William is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Writt of 55 years. They were married in Maryland on June 20, 1964.

William joins his mother, June Pearson and father, Roland Writt in heaven and will be entered into Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.

William is lovingly remembered by his children, Denise, Tina and Bill Jr.; and grandchildren, Michael, Nicole and Erin.

William was born in Escanaba. He graduated from Escanaba Senior High School in 1960. William proudly served 22 years in U.S. Navy as chief petty officer and was a Seabee. He retired from the University of Central Florida. William graduated from Valencia College and University of Central Florida with bachelor degree, minor English. His family pays tribute to him, “William was the most loving, giving husband and father that you could ever meet.” He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
