Barbara E. Manhold

ESCANABA — Barbara E. Manhold, 76, of Escanaba, passed away Tuesday morning, March 10, 2020, at Hartman’s Adult Care.

She was born on Nov. 12, 1943, in Highland Park, Mich., daughter of Rosaire and Ruby (Duelel) Roy. Barbara was raised in Detroit and graduated from St. Benedict’s School, class of 1961.

On Sept. 19, 1963, Barbara married Henry Anthony Kolinsky. During their marriage of 17 years they had two children, Thomas and Pamela Kolinsky. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She later married Max “Mac” Manhold and he preceded Barbara in death.

Barbara loved to go bowling, fishing, traveling with Mac, spending time on the lake, buying lotto tickets and shopping.

She had been a member of St. Louis Church in Harrison Township where she was active playing chimes.

Barbara moved to Escanaba in 2016 where she resided with her son, Tom and Carol Kolinsky and more recently in the loving care of Hartman’s Adult Care.

Among survivors are her two children, Thomas (Dr. Carol) Kolinsky of Escanaba and Pamela Kolinsky of Niles, Mich.; grandchildren, Emily (Chris) Charbonneau of Bark River and Matthew Krieg of Chicago, IL; and two great-grandchildren, Finn and Ford Charbonneau.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mac she was preceded in death by all of her siblings.

Graveside services will take place at a later date at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Detroit, Mich.
