GLADSTONE — Linda Sue Bottorff, age 75, of Gladstone, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 18, 1944, in South Gate, Calif., the daughter of James and Emily (Leacock) Weeks. Linda grew up in California and was a 1961 graduate of Santa Fe High School. Following graduation, she worked in the grocery business for a few years with the Certified Grocers of California before working at the Federal Reserve in Los Angeles, Calif. Her last employment was with the Hexcel Aero Space Company (later changed names to GKN Aerospace) in Santa Ana, Calif. until her retirement in 2007. Linda met her love of her life, Rodney, at the U.S.O. (United Service Organization) in Camp Pendleton in Ocean City, Calif. while he was serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. The former Linda Sue Weeks married Rodney “Rod” Bottorff on Oct. 16, 1965 in Bellflower, Calif. Together, the couple shared 54 years of marriage and raised their daughter, Cindy. Following retirement, Linda and Rod moved to Gladstone in 2008 for the change of pace the Upper Peninsula had to offer. She was an avid reader and was part of the Reading Buddies program at Cameron Elementary School in Gladstone. She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren as they meant the world to her.

Linda Sue Bottorff is survived by her husband, Rodney Bottorff of Gladstone; one daughter, Cindy (Aaron) Temple of Rock; six grandchildren, Steven, Tyler, Kaitlynn, Nicolas, Madalynn, and Daniel; two brothers, Ronald Weeks of Pahrump, Nev. and James Weeks of Diamond Bar, Calif; one sister, Sharon Manley of Hemet, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Emily Weeks.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m, Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of Linda will follow at 2 p.m., Tuesday, in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lewis Hague officiating. Burial will immediately follow the services in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
