Dorothy Ann (Maxine) Salmon

The former Dorothy Taylor was born Dec. 3, 1933, in Wynne, Ark., to Grover Taylor and the former Frances Williams.

She married Ray Salmon and together they were the parents of 12 children, During her lifetime, Maxine held many jobs but her favorite was quilting.

She is survived by her children, Danny (Sue Salmon) Richard Salmon of Ford River, Mich., Tim Salmon of Coloma, Mich., Patricia Nolff and Deborah Phillips of Malvern Ark., Peggy Bartel of Bark River; brother-in-law, AC Bolin of Watervliet, Mich.: brother, Gerald Taylor of Haines City, Fla.; 19 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her children, Chester (Chet), Tony, Kevin, Connie, Mary and Mickey. Siblings Annette Bolin, Harwetta Taylor and brothers Virgil, NG, Darrell, Joe, Ronald, Terry (Pete), Louis Kemp and Linda Doss.

A memorial service for Maxine will be held at the Ford River Town Hall Nov. 9 with visitation from 1 to 3 p.m., Service at 3 p.m. with burial immediately after service at the West Ford River Cemetery. A lunch will be served following the burial at the hall.
