Linda Lou Dlugas

She was born in Escanaba on Dec. 27, 1942, daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy (Gasman) Anderson.

Linda graduated from Escanaba High School and Northern Michigan University where she received her bachelor’s degree and began her teaching career in Kenosha, Wis., and continued in the Escanaba School District until her retirement in 2006.

On July 16, 1966, Linda married Robert “Bob” Dlugas at St. George’s Church in Bark River.

Linda loved reading, baking, shopping and traveling.

She was a member of the Michigan Association Retired School Personnel.

In addition to her husband Bob, Linda is survived by her children, Tracy Dlugas of Kentwood, Mich., and Todd Dlugas of Marinette, Wis.; grandson, Ruger; siblings, Bonnie (James) McDonough of Escanaba and Kerry Kellerman of Texas.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 13, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba.

The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Church with Rev. Rick Courier officiating. A meal will follow in the church hall.

Entombment will take place in Gardens of Rest Mausoleum.

Memorials may be directed to Delta County Cancer Alliance. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
