Sharon (Frickelton) Beauchamp

ZEPHYRHILLS Fla. — Sharon (Frickelton) Beauchamp, 84, of Zephyrhills, Fla., formerly of Iron Mountain and Escanaba, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2019, at her home following a long illness.

Sharon was born on Feb. 18, 1935, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Agnes and Donald Frickelton. She married Chester Beauchamp on Aug. 5, 1950, in Iron Mountain. They later moved to Escanaba where she started a pastie shop known as Sharon’s Pastie Shop. Upon retirement, they moved to Zephyrhills, Fla., where they enjoyed golf as lifetime members of Scotland Yards Golf Club. She was active for many years in the ladies golf association. She and her husband volunteered in the kitchen of the Zephyrhills Elks for many years. She enjoyed many things, but what she cherished most was her family.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Chet, and her seven children, Daniel (Diane) Beauchamp of Zephyrhills, Donald (Terresa) Beauchamp of Aurora, Wis., Deborah (Rudy Skryzmoski) DePotsie of Zephyrhills, Douglas (Melanie) Beauchamp of Escanaba, Diane (Mark) Jarvis of Kingsford, Mich., Denise (Terry) Foster of Gladstone, and Donna (Rob) Harrison of Green Bay, Wis., as well as 12 grandchildren, Chris (Karen) Beauchamp, Ryan (Vickie) Beauchamp, Erick (Stephanie) Beauchamp, Michael (Crystal) Beauchamp, Kristy Beauchamp, Mark Beauchamp, Shannon (Rob Sochor) Perkins, Sandy (Jason) Couillard, Craig (Hattie) Klotz, Janel (Justin Poquette) Klotz, Brett (Kayla Navin) Van Effen and Cory (Kayla) Van Effen, 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Frickelton; a sister, Rosemary Mogan; a son-in-law, James DePotsie; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Michelle DePotsie.

There will be a memorial service at a later date. The Whitfield Funeral Home of Zephyrhills has been entrusted with the arrangements.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Home Instead Senior Care and Gulfside Hospice for their compassion, skilled care and friendship during her final days.
