Anna Marie (Sundling) Sprunger

COOKS Mich. — Anna Marie (Sundling) Sprunger, 59, of Cooks, Mich. died due to heart complications on May 26, 2019.

She was born in Escanaba on Jan. 23, 1960, the daughter of Harry E. and Carolyn M. (Lake) Sundling of Isabella. She attended Big Bay de Noc schools and went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Anna moved to Lansing, Mich., where she married John K. Sprunger on Sept. 23, 1978. John preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 2014, and she returned to the area with her family in 2015.

She enjoyed spending time outside fishing and partaking in cookouts, crafting, winning at the casino, and dancing. But above all was her love for her family. She valued every moment she spent with them.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Lynde Sprunger; son, James (April) Sprunger; sister, Ollie M. (Scott Herbert) Lausten; grandchildren, Makayla Gonder, Colten Sprunger, Logan Schieman, Ty and Alexis Downs, Cassie Babcock, and Jennifer Hughes; great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, mother-in-law, a brother and brother-in-law, and one grandson.

A graveside service will be held at Moss Lake Cemetery on June 8 at 11 a.m. A luncheon will immediately follow at Nahma Hall.

Memorial donations may be directed to the family for future designation.
