Elaine Marie Anderson Faltersack
ESCANABA — Elaine Marie Anderson Faltersack, 84, went to her heavenly home March 12, 2018, at their winter home in Arizona. Born and raised in Escanaba, Mich., she was a 1952 Escanaba High School graduate. Elaine continued her education at NMU, receiving her teaching degree in home economics. She was very proud to be able to further her education by receiving her masters degree. She taught many years in the Iron Mountain school system.
She enjoyed sharing many stories about her teaching career. She also enjoyed traveling and fishing with her beloved husband Ardee and she loved her black Labrador dogs.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ardee: a daughter, Linda (Al) Bolan; a son, Keith Johnson; brothers, Robert ( Mary) Anderson, Jon (Betsy) Anderson; sister-in-law, Phyllis Anderson; seven stepchildren, Sandy, Steve, Sue, Lee, Janet, Tracy, Hildy; five grandchildren, Julie (Mike) Phillips, Brad (Ellery) Kassin Jill (Lance), Shanna (Joe) Champeau, Eliza (Fred) Mitchell and 12 great-grandchildren, Sara, Ashley, Gavin, Camryn, Aden, Elsa, Sylvee, Nolen, Aiva, Dilan, Henry, Wyatt and one great- great-granddaughter, Kaydence; 27 step-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustaf Anderson and Elsie Finstrom Anderson; an infant sister, Helen; a brother, Gus; and a special great-grandson, Owen Ellis.
Services will be at Zion Lutheran Church Metropolitan Rd. Felch Michigan on Sunday, May 20. Gathering from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Central time, Service at 2:30 p.m. with luncheon to follow.
