Raymond William Baur

ESCANABA, Mich. — Raymond William Baur, 97, of the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba, formerly of Gladstone, passed away Sunday morning, April 1, 2018, at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.

Raymond was born Jan. 2, 1921, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Carl and Esther (Shane) Baur. He was raised in Chicago prior to moving to the Upper Peninsula. He worked for Local Union 169 in Marquette as a boilermaker for many years.

Raymond was an avid Detroit Tiger and Redwings fan. He enjoyed watching all of their games. He also enjoyed wheeling and dealing automobiles. He loved Cadilacs

Survivors include: children, Dennis (Linda) Baur of Birmingham, Mich., Rick (Debbie) Baur of Detroit, Mich., Don Baur of Detroit, Mich. and Bobbie (Wally) Seppanen of Gladstone; brothers, Carl (Cecilia) Baur Jr. of Chicago Heights, Ill., and Roy Baur of Carrier Mills, Ill.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, his wife Sandy, daughter, Beckie and sons, Steve and Randy Baur preceded Raymond in death.
