Charlotte Miller

MENOMINEE — Charlotte Miller, 82, of Menominee, passed away early Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, at Atrium Post Acute Care Facility of Menominee. She was released from her struggle with Alzheimer’s disease and placed into the presence of her loving God through the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Charlotte was born in Marinette, Wis., on April 29, 1935, the daughter of Mabel (Knutson) and Anton Olson.

She graduated from Marinette High School with the class of 1953.

On June 7, 1956, she married Gary E. Miller of Marinette, Wis., at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Marinette. Together they had seven children.

Charlotte retired from Emerson Electric of Menominee in 1997.

She enjoyed reading, needlework, camping and Packers games. She had a wonderful green thumb and was always game for a road trip. Her family, children (brats) and grandchildren were very important to her, and she always showed it.

Charlotte is survived by four children, Christy (Jim) Van Court of Gladstone, Paul (Lori) Miller of Escanaba, Clark (Jackie) Miller of Marinette, Wis., Connie Miller of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.; 14 grandchildren, Jeremy (Diana) Van Court, Adam (Rachelle) Miller, Jessica (Orlando) Medina, Michael (Miranda) Miller, Kelly (David) Sally, Teresa (Andre) Norris, Ryan (Morgan) Miller, Christy No Steward, Mandy (Richie) Armbrust, Laurie (Lee) Hart, Dustin Kabat, Ashley Wieczorek, Nicholas Davis and Louis Schultz, and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Our profound gratitude goes out to Christy Steward, Char’s granddaughter, for her skills, compassion and love provided to her Grandma, particularly in her final years. Christy was a comfort and a blessing to us all.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel and Anton Olson; two infant sons, David and Daniel Miller; one infant daughter, Sena Miller and several beloved brothers and sisters.

Visitation for Charlotte Miller will be held on Saturday, April 14, from 2 until 5 p.m. CDT at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home (610 Marinette Ave., Marinette, Wis.). A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. James Wendt officiating. A light luncheon will follow at the funeral home.

We love you Mom!
