Antone ‘Tony’ N. Clark

ESCANABA — Antone “Tony” N. Clark, 85, of Escanaba, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018, at his home following a brief illness.

He was born on Sept. 19, 1932, in Escanaba, son to Matt and Rose (Scribbling) Clark.

Tony served in the Air Force from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1956. He was honored with the National Defense Service Medal.

On Aug. 31, 1963, Tony married Elsie L. Clark at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Spalding. She preceded him in death.

Tony owned and operated Tony Clark Forest Products.

He enjoyed car, truck and tractor restorations. He loved NASCAR, the Green Bay Packers, watching the Fun Run parade and cutting firewood. Tony enjoyed watching Tom drive the 66 Oliver tractor in the Bark River 4th of July parade.

Among survivors include his four children, Charles “Chuck” of Cornell, Rose (Dana) Cayer of Nebraska, Thomas of Escanaba and Stephen (Sarah) of Escanaba; four grandchildren, Brandy Clark, Dayna Cayer, Candace Cayer and Kyle Sundberg; and special niece, Patricia (Brian) Boudreau.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elsie; infant son, Matthew; and daughter-in-law, Lori Clark.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 28, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Bark River. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Darryl Pepin officiating.

Burial will take place in Bark River Cemetery.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Clark family.
