Paul G. Hough Sr.

He was born Dec. 9, 1932 in Manistique, Mich., the son of Arthur and Lillian (Martin) Hough and attended Manistique area schools.

Paul was a proud member of the United States Air Force.

On Feb. 27, 1954, he married the former Carol V. Peterson in Manistique, Mich. They made their home and raised their family here.

He was employed at Manistique Papers, Inc. for over 40 years until his retirement in 1994.

Paul was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Church. He also served as treasurer with the Pulp and Papermakers Union for several years.

He enjoyed gardening, hunting, playing cards, and woodworking. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Paul is survived by his wife, Carol Hough of Manistique; children, Deb (Dode) Price of Gulliver, Paula (Glenn Rasmussen) Hough of Manistique, Paul (Lona) Hough Jr. of Manistique, Dave (Stacey) Hough of Gulliver and Joe (Lisa) Hough of Rapid River; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, William Hough and Louritz Hough; and his sister, Judy Billings.

Per Paul’s wishes, there will be no services.
