Francis (Frank) Kleiman

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Francis (Frank) John Kleiman, 77, of Milwaukee, Wis., beloved husband and best friend of Mary (Alberti) Kleiman for 53 years, passed away peacefully on Jan. 20, 2018 surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for, and loved.

The final member of his family of origin to pass, he was predeceased by his parents Ted and Rose Kleiman of Bark River, Michigan. He was also preceded by his siblings Theodore (Kathy) (Evelyn) Kleiman and their daughter Barb, Florence (Al) Jorasz, and their daughter-in-law Sue, Joseph (Delores) Kleiman and their daughter Marlene Dugener, Barbara (Gerald) Nelson, Lloyd Kleiman, and Jim Kleiman.

Frank was born in Wilson where he lived until he joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 18. After proudly serving his county, he moved to Milwaukee and worked as a welder. He joined the Milwaukee Police Force in 1969 where he served his city for 30 years before retiring. He then enjoyed part-time work as a security guard for Marquette University High School. Frank loved being with his large family, camping, working outside, and making their house a home.

Frank met the love of his life, Mary, in Milwaukee in 1963 and were married in 1965. They spent 53 incredible years together modeling the essence of their marriage vows. Mary was his consummate and loving caregiver until the very end…’in sickness and in health’.

Besides his wife Mary (Alberti) Kleiman, he is survived by his children: Kent (Laurie) Kleiman, Kimberly (Bob) Kleiman-Lee, Becky Hamilton, and Tom Kleiman (Jen Reuter); his grandchildren Kayla (Dean) Sullivan, Karley, Morganne, Katie, Alyssa, Sam, Sarah (Aaron) Fields, Kari, Ashley, and Hunter; his great-grandchildren Keegan, Kenley, Cameron, Mason, Adrian, Sarina, and Cayden as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cherished relatives and friends.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the extraordinarily talented medical staff at Aurora Healthcare, Aurora At-Home Hospice, and their loving neighbors. Their dedication to provide quality care and support over the last several months were a heartwarming blessing to the entire family.

We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him.
