Daily Press Back-to School and Health Fair is Sunday

ESCANABA — The ninth annual Daily Press Children’s Back-to-School and Health Fair will be held Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ruth Butler Building on the U.P. State Fairgrounds.

During the free event, students will be able to visit a variety of booths in the Ruth Butler Building and take part in many different activities. Activities will also be set up outside during the health fair.

The first 400 children in attendance at the health fair will receive a UP Health Systems fidget spinner/screen cleaner pen. All children attending the event will receive a bag and a “report card,” which they can use to collect stamps from each booth they visit. If they collect stamps from every booth at the event, students will be able to enter their report card in a drawing.

During the health fair, area high school football players will compete in multiple 60-second challenges to win cash for their teams’ booster clubs in a contest known as “In It to Win It.”

A free lunch consisting of hot dogs, chips, cookies and beverages will be served at the event.
