Fire destroys home

BARK RIVER TOWNSHIP — A home in Bark River Township was destroyed by fire late Wednesday night.

Bark River Township Fire Department was called the fire on 17th Road in Bark River Township at 11:50 p.m. April 24. When the firefighters arrived on scene the roof of the house was already caved in. The firefighters remained at the scene until 4 a.m. The home was a total loss, firefighters said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigated. Two men were home at the time of the fire, but escaped without injuries.

Bark River Township Fire Department was assisted by Harris Township Fire Department, Red Cross and Delta County Sheriff’s Department.
