FORD RIVER — After being closed because of a traffic accident, M-35 is now re-open for traffic.

According to the Delta County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to a car versus semi accident on M-35 south between the Breezy Point restaurant and Ford River this morning.

Due to the accident, traffic on M-35 south of Escanaba to L.85 Lane was closed without a time given on when it would re-open. Motorists were advised to use a different route when traveling in that area or to follow the established detour.

According to Delta County Central Dispatch, M-35 became open again at 2:50 p.m.
