Dwelling damaged in Sunday fire
ESCANABA — An Escanaba home was damaged by fire early Sunday morning, according to Escanaba Public Safety officers.
The blaze was reported at 5:02 a.m. at 327 N. 14th St. Officers attacked the fire from both the exterior and interior of the building and were able to bring the blaze under control quickly. Officers remained at the scene for about three and a half hours putting out hot spots. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and there was no report of injuries.
Escanaba Public Safety was assisted at the scene by the Delta County Sheriff’s Department, Ford River Volunteer Fire Department, the American Red Cross, DTE, Rampart and the city of Escanaba Electric Department.
