ESCANABA – The following individuals were recently sentenced in Delta County Circuit Court on unrelated charges.
Richard Damien Feathers Jr., of 1330 Stephenson Avenue, Unit 1, in Escanaba pled guilty to one count of sex offenders – failure to comply with reporting duties. He was ordered to pay $698 in fines and fees,
Christopher Steven Barta, of 1927 Beech Tree Drive, in Green Bay, Wisc., pled guilty one count of controlled substance – possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy; one count of fleeing or eluding a police officer; and one count of weapons – dangerous weapon – miscellaneous.
For count one, Barta was sentenced to 21 months in 10 years in prison. For counts two and three, Barta was sentenced to 21 months to five years in prison for each count. He has total credit of 852 days already served. The sentences are to be served concurrently.
Barta was also ordered to pay $394 in fines and fees.
Edward Tyler Doherty, of 1401 North 23rd Street, Trailer 106, in Escanaba pled no contest to one count of attempted assault With intent to do great bodily harm less than murder or by strangulation. He was sentenced to nine months in jail with credit for 22 days already served. He will also be placed on probation for 18 months. Doherty was also ordered to pay $2198 in fines and fees.
Angel Leahy Arteaga, of W328 Oak Road in Wilson, pled guilty to one count of controlled substances – possession of cocaine less than 25 grams. She was sentenced to 145 days in jail with credit for 145 days already served. Arteaga was also ordered to pay $758 in fines and fees.
Eric Paul Bouchard, of 1606 11th Avenue North, in Escanaba, pled no contest to one count of assault with intent to commit felony and one count of attempted larceny from a person. For count one, he was sentenced to 23 months to 10 years in prison and 23 months to five years for count two.
The sentences are to be served concurrently. He has a total credit of 212 days already served. Bouchard was also ordered to pay $326 in fines and fees.
