Home and Garden Show seeks vendors

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Kiwanis Club is seeking new vendors for its annual Home and Garden Show, scheduled for April 14-16 at the Ruth Butler Building at the U.P. State Fairgrounds in Escanaba.

Club President Aaron Deiter said the show is scheduled a week later this year to avoid conflict with Holy Week and Easter observances. “This event is packed with fun and information. Residents seem eager to shake off some winter doldrums and jump into spring and summer, and the Kiwanians are here to help,” Deiter said. Proceeds from the show help support a myriad of Kiwanis youth activities.

The Home and Garden Show has helped residents usher in spring for more than 40 years. Vendors, local businesses, UP non-profits, and educational organizations, present their products and services to help residents make the best of spring and summer.

The show also includes a pancake, egg and sausage meal for purchase by attendees. In addition, there will be a variety of fun activities for kids.

The show will once again be sponsored by American Metal Roofs of Northern Wisconsin. Also returning for this year’s event will be a series of Smart Gardening presentations by MSU Extension and Delta County Master Gardeners.

The Kiwanis vision is to positively impact all Escanaba youth as we empower our community through service. The proceeds of the Home and Garden Show assist in this effort.

Businesses can find more information at www.escanabakiwanis.org or by phoning 906-786-6013.
