Book signing at Escanaba Public Library

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Public Library welcomes author J.L. Hyde on Wednesday, November 10 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. for a free book signing event. Hyde bases her second murder mystery book on Escanaba where she grew up. Readers will recognize features of the town from bars and restaurants to local radio stations, even if the story is new. The fiction book “Delta County: A Novel” is about returning home for a class reunion, 10 years after an unspeakable tragedy.

Hyde, a native of Delta County who currently resides in Oklahoma City, says, “Escanaba means a lot to me and I want to thank those who have been so supportive of my writing. Many people who have read the book who are not from the area want to vacation here now because of this book.”

Hyde will have copies of the book available for purchase, as well as copies of her first book “Underground.” People can also bring their personal copies of her books to the signing. The Escanaba Public Library is located at 400 Ludington Street in downtown Escanaba. For more information, visit the website at www.escanabalibrary.org.
