ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently bound over from Delta County District Court to circuit court in unrelated cases.

Macy Kristine Metzger-Meek, 20, of 1600 N. 18th St., Escanaba, was bound over to circuit court on a count of controlled substance — possession of meth/ecstasy, a 10-year felony with a maximum fine of $15,000 and license sanctions unless sentenced to more than one year in prison. The charge stems from an incident on or about Jan. 31, 2020 in Delta County. Bond for Metzger-Meek was set at $20,000 cash/surety.

Evan Jay Krueger, 21, of 6360 M.15 Danforth Blvd., Escanaba, was bound over to circuit court on a count of controlled substance — delivery/manufacture (Schedules 1, 2 and 3 except marijuana, meth, ecstasy and cocaine), a seven-year felony with a maximum fine of $10,000 and license sanctions unless sentenced to more than one year in prison. The charge stems from an incident on or about Aug. 4, 2020 in Escanaba. Bond for Krueger was set at $20,000 cash/surety.

Evan Jay Krueger, 21, of 6360 M.15 Danforth Blvd., Escanaba, was bound over to circuit court on a count of accessory after the fact to a felony, a five-year felony with a maximum fine of $10,000. The charge stems from an incident on or about March 9, 2020 in Wells Township. Bond for Krueger was set at 10 percent of $10,000.

Benjamin Tyrus Hampel, 37, of RR2 Box 111 Road, Mansfield, Mo., was bound over to circuit court on a count of weapons — carrying concealed, a five-year felony with a maximum fine of $2,500 and mandatory forfeiture of weapon or device; and a count of operating while intoxicated, a misdemeanor punishable by 93 days jail, a fine of $100-500 and/or 360 hours community service, rehabilitation programs, mandatory vehicle immobilization with a prior, costs of prosecution, reimburse government for emergency response and expenses for prosecuting defendant. Hampel posted a bond set at 10 percent of $5,000.

Brenda Lynn Trombley, 45, of 416 S. 1st Ave., Escanaba, was bound over to circuit court on a count of controlled substance — possession/analogues, a two-year felony with a maximum fine of $2,000 and license sanctions unless sentenced to more than one year in prison; and a count of controlled substance –possession (substance added to Schedule Five by rule), a one-year misdemeanor with a maxiumum fine of $2,000 and license sanctions unless sentenced to more than one year in prison. The charges stem from an incident on or about Aug. 21, 2019 in Escanaba. Trombley posted a bond set at 10 percent of $10,000.

Wayne Scott Spens, 28, of 8455 U.S. 2, Trailer #5, Rapid River, was bound over to circuit court on a count of interfering with electronic communications, a two-year felony with a maximum fine of $1,000); and a count of domestic violence with a second offense notice, a one-year misdemeanor with a maximum fine of $1,000. The charges stem from an incident on July 9, 2020 in Masonville Township. Bond for Spens was set at 10 percent of $10,000.
