Dining with Diabetes cooking class set

ESCANABA — MSU Extension’s Dining with Diabetes program is a fun and interactive four-session series for individuals with prediabetes, type 1 or type 2 diabetes, members of their support system and/or anyone interested in learning more about healthy eating and diabetes prevention.

During each class, participants will learn how to make healthier food choices and incorporate balanced menus into their family dining experience. Classes include research-based education and cooking demonstrations from the recipes in the take-home participant books. Participants will also get to sample/taste the delicious foods that are made during each of the classes.

The Dining with Diabetes series will start Tuesday, March 17, and meet for four consecutive Tuesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. at the MSU Extension office, located at 2840 College Ave., Escanaba.

There is no charge for this series due to a Lion’s International Grant. Contact MSU Extension Health Educator Tracie Abram at 906-235-2985 abram@msu.edu to register by March 13.
