Dagenais Foundation makes contribution

ESCANABA — The Robert and Jeanine Dagenais Foundation made a contribution to the After School program at the Catherine Bonifas Civic Center. The Robert and Jeanine Dagenais Foundation is made possible by donations from Riverside Auto Group and First Bank

The program provides healthy snacks, hygiene items and school supplies to students in fourth to 12th grades within Delta County. The Civic Center facility is a safe, supervised environment open six days a week. There is a complete gameroom and gym available for use, along with structured activities and laptops for homework.

Recreation Director Kim Peterson encourages everyone to come and tour the facility as there is always something happening from basketball, boardgames, free books, gym use, volleyball, pickleball, aerobics, gameroom as well as housing the Community Action Agency Senior Center, which offers a large variety of activities and events throughout the day.

“The After School Program is such a huge success with wonderful citizens and businesses that support the program such as the Robert and Jeanine Dagenais Foundation because without them it wouldn’t be made possible,” Peterson said.
