Workshop focuses on living with chronic condition

CURTIS — PATH (Personal Action Toward Health) is a six week program that teaches practical skills for living a healthy life with a chronic health condition like diabetes, lung disease, arthritis, asthma, chronic pain, or heart disease. Topics include healthy eating, physical activity, managing medications, communication skills, fall prevention, and much more. People who have attended this six session evidence based program feel better, are less limited by their health problems, and spend less time at the doctor or in the hospital.

This class will meet on Wednesday mornings at the Erickson Center for the Arts in Curtis from 10 a.m to 12:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 18 and ending on Oct. 23. There is no cost to attend this workshop and materials are provided.

Class sizes are limited and pre-registration is required. To register, call UPCAP at 1-800-338-7227 or by dialing 2-1-1. This program is being administered by UPCAP with support from community volunteers. For more information, visit www.upcap.org/events.
