U.P. Parkinson Disease Symposium set

IRON MOUNTAIN Mich. — A 4th Annual UP Parkinson Disease Symposium will be hosted by the Parkinson Society of Dickinson County Area in conjunction with the Michigan Parkinson Foundation on Friday, Sept. 27, on the campus of Bay College West in Iron Mountain. The symposium is open to all U.P. and northern Wisconsin Parkinson patients, family, caregivers, and interested persons.

Registration and check-in opens at 8 a.m. and the program begins at 8:45 a.m. CST. Pre-register early so enough seating and lunches will be available. Coffee and water will be available all day and a free lunch will be provided at noon.

Keynote speaker for this event is author, blogger, humorist and a Parkinson patient, Sheryl Jedlinski. She is a frequent speaker at symposiums throughout the country. Her books will be for sale at the symposium.

Other speakers at the symposium include Paul Sturgul, attorney, Dr. Tyler Chartier, optometrist, and two neurologists, Dr. Aaron Ellenbogren and Dr. Roman Politi.

Jake Miller and Cindi Weber will moderate an open forum question and answer session.

Healthcare vendors will have tables in the commons area with information for your browsing interest and questions.
