GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Lion’s Club plans multiple community projects annually that benefit residents of the Gladstone area. Recently, the club got a jump on helping struggling families’ heat their homes this winter by splitting wood this summer.

Lion Bill Gimler of Gladstone donated the wood he recently cut on his property to the Gladstone Lions Club to help area families that burn wood to heat their homes. Other club members joined together to help split, load and deliver two truckloads of firewood to families in need of wood.

This is a Lion’s fund raising project the club is asking the public to contribute to. If you would like to donate to this project, send your contribution to: Gladstone Lions Club, PO Box 309, Gladstone, MI 49837

If you have a family in need of firewood for this fall, include a name and address with your contribution and the Lion’s will deliver the wood.

For more information on the project contact Craig Lauerman at 906 280 2828.
