Individuals sentenced in circuit court

ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently sentenced in Delta County Circuit Court in unrelated charges.

Sarah Ellen Seymour, 30, of 103 N. 5th St., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to attempted controlled substance – possession of meth/ecstasy. She was sentenced to three months in jail and given credit for 24 days already served. Seymour’s driver’s license will be suspended for 30 days and restricted for 150 days. She will be placed on probation for 12 months. Seymour was ordered to pay $1,028 in fines and costs.

Rebbecca Ashley Nichols-Zimmer, 30, of P.O. Box 205, Escanaba, pleaded guilty to operating – while intoxicated – occupant less than 16 – second or subsequent offense notice. She was sentenced to 10 months in jail and credited for 50 days already served. She will be placed on probation for 36 months. Nichols-Zimmer was ordered to pay $1,268 in fines and costs.

John Allen Tilot, 35, of 110 S. 17th St., pleaded guilty to one count of jails – furnishing contraband to prisoners and one count of conspiracy to commit jails – furnishing contraband to prisoners. He was sentenced to a minimum of three months to a maximum of five years in prison for both counts, he was credited for 49 days already served. Tilot was ordered to pay $266 in fines and costs.

In another case, Tilot also pleaded no contest to controlled substance – possession of meth/ecstasy – second or subsequent offense notice – double penalty. He was sentenced to a minimum of 18 months to a maximum of 20 years in prison and credited for 344 days already served. Tilot was ordered to pay $258 in fines and costs.

Ryan James Fontaine, 32, of 1515 N. 20th St., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to child abuse – second degree. He was sentenced to a minimum of three years and two months to a maximum of 10 years in prison and was credited for 179 days already served. He was ordered to pay $198 in fines and costs.
