ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently sentenced in Delta County Circuit Court on unrelated charges.

Shelah Joel Tauriainen, 33, Women’s Huron Valley Correctional Facility, Ypsilanti, Mich., pleaded guilty to jails — furnishing contraband to prisoners. She was sentenced to between 17 months and five years in prison — which will be served consecutively with another sentence — and was ordered to pay $198 in fines and costs.

Allisson Lorraine Gaffney, 30, of 565 N. 15th St., Gladstone, pleaded guilty to controlled substance — possession of meth/ecstasy. She was sentenced to nine months jail and given credit for 75 days served. She will be placed on probation for 24 months. Her driver’s license will be suspended 30 days and restricted 150 days. Gaffney was ordered to pay $1,148 in fines and costs.

Shane Michael Norberg Jr., 22, of 1315 Sheridan Road, Apt. 2F, Escanaba, pleaded guilty to attempted weapons – dangerous weapons. He was sentenced to 45 days in jail and credited for nine days already served. He was ordered to pay $698 in fines and costs.

Bon Stephen Lemerond, 34, of 605 S. 9th St., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to one count controlled substance – possession of meth/ecstasy, one count retail fraud – third degree and one count controlled substance – use. Lemerond was sentenced to a minimum of two years and a maximum of 10 years in prison and given credit for 144 days already served on the first of these counts, and he was sentenced to 144 days jail and given credit for 144 days already served on the other two counts. Lemerond’s driver’s license will be suspended for 30 days and restricted for 150 days. Lemerond was ordered to pay $428 in fines and costs.
