Salvation Army seeks funds for programs

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Salvation Army is seeking funds to support its signature programs such as The Food Pantry and Friendship Kitchen, and Summer Day Camp to low income families.

“The Summer Day Camp program for 2019 will soon begin and the Salvation Army reaching out to our generous community for help sponsoring children for this season. In addition, food donations are increasing and monetary donations are decreasing. The Salvation Army has not reached the necessary goals this year to confidently provide the services needed in our community. We find ourselves with the need to make up approximately $16,000 over last year for programs and services while providing additional resources to our community,” Salvation Army officials stated in a press release.

The Salvation Army has started several campaigns to help alleviate this shortage.

In addition to monetary and pantry donations directly to the Escanaba Salvation Army, other fund drives include:

– Online campaigns can be found on its Facebook page providing a link to the Escanaba
