ESCANABA — All Escanaba water customers who were authorized to let their water run this winter due to the possibility of frozen water lines are being asked to turn them off.

“We feel the threat of any remaining deep frost has subsided and the shallow water services are no longer prone to freezing. Therefore, since it is now safe, we are asking all customers who were authorized to let their water run this winter to please turn them off,” city officials stated in a press release.

If you haven’t already been contacted, call the water plant to confirm that you have shut it off.
