ESCANABA — The Friends of the Escanaba Public Library invite everyone to come “Check us out” October 21 – 27 is the 13th Annual National Friends of Libraries Week. This week celebrates the Friends and what they do for the library. If you like what you see at the library, consider membership in the Friends.

During Friends week there will be a display in the Escanaba Public Library, with an opportunity to sign up for prize drawings. Prizes will be local business gift certificates. Winners will be contacted on Monday, Oct. 28.

The display will include the group’s Membership & Ways to Give brochures.

The Friends of the Escanaba Public Library supplement funding for library events that are not covered in the every-day operating budget. New Fiction, Author Series, Mango Languages, Ancestry.com, and updated computer terminals are just some of the many things funded by the Friends.
