MSU partners with Bay College for ag program

ESCANABA — Michigan State University will offer an agricultural tech program in 2019 at Bay College.

Programs are offered in East Lansing on the campus of Michigan State University and in partnership with several Michigan community colleges. IAT has roughly 475 students enrolled across the state.

The program will be Agricultural Operations. The Agricultural Operations program provides students with a solid background in plant and soil science, precision agriculture, water management, entomology, plant pathology and business management. It exposes students to opportunities available in the industry.

Students that complete the program will receive a certificate from MSU and an associate degree from Bay College.

Students planning to enroll in a partnership program must apply both to MSU IAT and Bay College.

Admission is based on:

– Academic performance in high school at least a 2.00 GPA.

– Work experience, organized school activities, community involvement and conduct

– Demonstrated interest in program of study
