Mold is TORCH Award winner

ESCANABA — Joseph Mold is Bay College’s quarterly June – August 2018 TORCH Award winner. He works at Bay College as the director of online learning and instructional design. He is recognized for his work as noted in the following:

Mold is nominated due to his exceptional dedication and outstanding performance toward Bay College student success. Joseph has been instrumental in increasing Bay College’s online enrollment and successful completion rate namely through the Online Learning Orientation he developed and put into effect.

He demonstrated he is a team player in his role of assisting in the implementation of the Open Educational Resource grant that has saved Bay students thousands of dollars.

As the chair of the diversity committee, he has shown a responsiveness to others in bringing diversity events, speakers, and performers to Bay College which ties directly to the Bay College mission: “Student Success, Community Success, and Culture of Success.”

The purpose of the TORCH Award is to give personal recognition to those employees on Bay College’s campuses dedicated to the mission of the College because of their attitude, commitment, and dedication toward the higher education learning environment. TORCH stands for: Team Player; Outstanding Performance; Responsive to Others; Conscientious to Mission of Bay; Helpful to All.
