ESCANABA — State Rep. Beau LaFave, of Iron Mountain, announced his plan to sponsor multiple town halls and office hours for March and April.

“Having one of the largest districts in the state, I understand the difficulty of traveling to office hours,” Rep. LaFave said. “This is why I am going to rural areas to make sure everyone can get their voices heard. Issues such as car insurance, school safety and internship education will be the key topics of conversation. I encourage everyone to attend a town hall close to them.”

The office hours schedule is:

– Friday, March 23 – 11 a.m. to noon Central at Big 10 Bar and Grill, 1230 Quinnesec Ave. in Quinnesec; and 4 to 5 p.m. Eastern at Pantry Restaurant, 10455 Bay Shore Drive in Rapid River.

– Saturday, March 24 – 11 a.m. to noon Central at Spies Public Library, 940 1st St. in Menominee.

The town hall schedule is:

– Friday, March 30, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Central at the West Branch Township Hall, N10604 County Road 581 in Ralph.

– Saturday, March 31, 1 to 2:30 p.m. Central at the Meyer Township Hall, W5480 1st St. in Hermansville.

– 5 to 6:30 p.m. Central at the County Government Extension Office “The Annex,” S904 US-41 in Stephenson.
