Esky Pops plans spring performance

ESCANABA — The Esky Pops are back for their spring semester. The Esky Pops is a volunteer singing and instrumental group that performs all contemporary music in Escanaba. The group is always looking for new members ages 16 and up to join the fun. There are no auditions needed to join the group, and although a musical background is helpful, it is not required. Rehearsals for The Esky Pops are once a week on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Central United Methodist Church: 322 S. Lincoln Rd. Escanaba.

The spring semester of The Esky Pops will begin rehearsals on Thursday, March 22.

The group will accept new members through April 12, but encourages interested participants to contact them via email at theeskypops@gmail.com or on their Facebook page. Some of the featured songs the group will be singing this semester are: “Under Pressure” by Queen,” Photograph” by Ed Sheeran, “Rise” by Katy Perry, “The Impossible Dream” from the Broadway musical Man of La Mancha, as well as a musical medley from the hit TV show Glee.

The Esky Pops will not be meeting on Thursday March 29. Tthe group will reconvene on April 5.
