U.P. Toastmasters advance in contest
MARQUETTE — Bay De Noc Toastmasters member Will Vertz took first place at the Area N3 International Speech Contest in Marquette on Feb. 10.
Second place went to Jan Wisniewski (pronounced John) of Superiorland Toastmasters. The two contestants will represent the Upper Peninsula as they advance to the District 35 Northern Division Contest in Stevens Point, Wis, in April. Bay De Noc Toastmasters meets on Wednesdays from 12 to 1 p.m., except the last week of the month, at the Bay College M-TEC Center room 2018. Guests are always welcome.
