Rock customers asked to let water run

ROCK — The Rock Water System is requesting all customers to let their water run to prevent freezing pipes. Customers are advised to let water run in a stream the size of a pencil non-stop until further notice. “The best approach would be to run a hose to the outside of your home and not into your septic. Do not run your hose too far out — it can freeze. If you do not participate in the ‘let-run’ and your water freezes, the repairs will be your responsibility,” officials said in a press release.

Water bills for all “let-runs” will be adjusted using last year’s water bill for this time of the year.
